When you review Bandit's screen shots you'll notice that a VIX spikes will typically correlate with the bottom of a dip. Bandit also offers a VXO signal. Option traders sometimes prefer VXO because it is based on the original VIX calculations and can provide more signal detail.
VIX Bandit began as an accessory to support traders using our Options Level 2 Platform. Bandit takes the best of Bollinger and makes it better by offering, for example, VIX and EWA Sigma’s and allowing sampling periods, band bias and sigma weightings to be controlled.
